VHS to Digital & 8mm to Digital Conversion
Most of us have boxes of VHS tapes, camcorder tapes and other analogue video cassettes stored away somewhere in the home. Our wedding videos, holiday and vacation tapes, your kids birthdays and other special events of your family.
Remember these are magnetic tapes that degrade and deteriorate with time. The devices that use to play them are hard to replace or repair.
It is better to digitise them sooner than later. With the help of specialised equipment and software we can convert your
tapes to a digital format that is most appropriate to you. We can transfer the digital version of your video cassette tapes to DVD or USB (flash or external hard disk).
DVDs are fully functional in device that play DVDs (DVD and Bluray players, PCs). With the USB stored devices you can view your videos in smart devices such as iPads,
iPhones, Tablets, Smart TV's and your computer.
There are number of benefits in converting your tapes to digital:
- The digitised formats are easy to copy with no loss of quality, almost at no cost.
- You can share with others or upload to YouTube.
- Digital files do not deteriorate over time or usage.
- Numerous devices that play these are readily available today. The transference to future devices and formats should be easier than with past technologies like analogue tapes.
- Easy to navigate to particular section or point of interests within videos.
We can convert most video cassette formats including those listed.

The higher storage capacity of USB storage devices means that you can transfer the contents of many tapes to one device.
You can make multiple copies at no cost. Video files can easily be imported to video editing software where you can create
movie montages to present in occasions such as birthdays, anniversaries and other special occasions. You can even upload
video files to the internet (e.g YouTube) and share with your friends and family across the world.
Transferring tape to DVD (e.g. VHS to DVD) is the option many are comfortable with.
Most people have DVD/Bluray players connected to a TV as a part of their living room entertainment
setup. To watch a movie you need only to insert the DVD to the player.
We can create DVDs with menus and chapters
akin to those in movies, as well as customised disc labels with titles and background images.
The use of professional grade DVDs not only ensures that video quality is best as it can be, but the actual
DVD will last as long as possible. We typically package each disc in a standard DVD case as it is considered to better protect the DVD.
But if your preference is another form of packaging (e.g. disc sleeve) we can also accommodate.
DVD types - DVD-R (Default), DVD+R, DVD RW. Most DVD players generally can play all formats. Consult your manual if you are unsure.
We can transfer the content of your analogue tapes to a number of digital video file formats including those listed below.
